Helping you reclaim your life from anxiety, grief, and trauma
In person and online virtual therapy for adults in San Antonio and across Texas
Does This Sound Familiar?
You wake up with a weight pressing down on your chest, as though even the simple act of breathing takes effort. Racing thoughts fill your mind, making it impossible to focus or find relief. No matter how hard you try, the worry, sadness, or pain seems to hold you captive. You wonder if this is just how life is now, feeling stuck, barely holding it together, and overwhelmed by it all.
Do You Feel Like No One Truly Understands?
Maybe you've experienced a loss so profound that words can't begin to capture its impact. Perhaps you're haunted by painful memories that refuse to stay in the past, making moving forward feeling impossible. Or maybe the constant churn of anxiety, the lingering shadows of trauma, or the deep ache of grief have taken over your life, leaving you feeling out of control and unsure where to turn.
Does It Feel Like the Past Won't Let You Move Forward?
For those living with painful memories and traumatic experiences, everyday moments can feel like battles. Flashbacks or intrusive thoughts can strike out of nowhere, making it hard to feel safe, even in places you once loved. You might find yourself avoiding people, places, or things that remind you of what happened. The exhaustion of carrying this weight can feel unbearable, but you don't have to face it alone.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in grief, or weighed down by trauma, or struggling with life transitions, you’re in the right place.
Hi there, I am Casey, founder and owner of It’s Life Counseling and Wellness. For over 15 years, I’ve walked alongside adults through some of life’s most difficult seasons. I specialize in helping people who feel disconnected, exhausted, or lost in the aftermath of pain, find clarity, relief, and a renewed sense of self.
The name It’s Life Counseling and Wellness comes from a simple truth: life is unpredictable, often unfair, and sometimes much harder than we imagined. The name acknowledges that reality while also offering a quiet reassurance. It’s life; messy, painful, and still full of meaning. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to face it alone.
If you’re struggling with anxiety, grief, effects from trauma, or in the middle of a life transition, healing is possible. My approach is relational, grounded, and personalized to meet you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll create a space for healing that honors your pace and your story.
I offer both telehealth and in-person sessions for adults across Texas. If you’re ready to take the first step, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me. You deserve support that helps you feel more like yourself again.
Supporting Your Healing Journey by Overcoming Anxiety, Grief and Trauma.

You don’t have to be defined by what happened to you. Trauma can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. In therapy, we use tools like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help your mind and body release what’s been held, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to better understand the parts of you that have been working so hard to keep you safe. You stay in control of the pace and the process. Little by little, the weight lightens, your inner world feels less chaotic, and space opens for healing and hope to grow.

Loss can turn your world upside down, leaving you feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to put the pieces back together. Grief doesn’t follow a timeline or a set of rules, and it can touch every part of your life in ways you didn’t expect. I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate all of it. Together, we make space for your emotions, explore what this loss means for you, and honor the relationship or life chapter that has changed. There’s no rushing and no pressure to “move on.” Instead, we focus on helping you stay connected to yourself, find moments of steadiness, and slowly discover a way forward that feels true to where you are and what you need.

If anxiety has been weighing on you, keeping your mind busy or your body on edge, you don’t have to sort through it alone. Anxiety can show up in so many small, quiet ways. The racing thoughts, the tightness in your chest, the feeling that you can’t quite settle. In therapy, we take our time. We get curious about what your anxiety is trying to signal and what might help you feel more supported on the inside. Together, we build skills that help you feel more present and a little more at ease in your own body. Over time, those moments of calm become easier to reach, and you begin to feel more like yourself again.

Changes… even the ones we choose, can stir up anxiety, grief, or a sense of feeling untethered. Whether you’re navigating a new job, a move, a breakup, becoming a parent, or stepping into a completely different season of life, therapy gives you a steady place to land. Together, we sort through what’s shifting, what you’re holding, and what you need so this transition feels a bit more manageable.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps the mind process and heal quickly, often in just one to five sessions. It isn’t only for trauma; ART can also bring meaningful relief for anxiety, grief, phobias, and other painful experiences. As a Master Certified ART therapist, I’ll guide you through this fast and effective method so your system can release what’s been stuck and move toward lasting healing and renewed hope.

Internal Family Systems honors the many parts within us; the protectors, the worried ones, and the wounded parts that carry old pain. These parts show up with important roles and stories, even when they feel heavy. In IFS, we help each part feel seen, understood, and supported so it can gently unburden what it’s been carrying.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when life already feels heavy. Let me make the process simple and supportive:
1. Schedule a free consultation
We’ll start with a brief 15-minute phone call to explore what you’re looking for in therapy, answer any questions, and see if working together feels like a good fit.
2. Share your story
In your first session, we’ll take time to understand what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to change, and what support looks like for you. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels thoughtful and manageable.
3. Move forward with personalized care
As we begin our work, you’ll be supported with approaches tailored to you. We’ll move at a pace that feels right, creating space for healing, growth, and lasting change.
The hardest part is often just beginning.
You've already shown incredible strength by being here and considering therapy.
